Community care resources for HCAs and nurses

A starting point for UK healthcare assistants and nurses looking for external resources during their working day.

CommunityCue brings resource links together in a searchable catalogue. It includes links to NHS, NICE, professional organisations, charities and manufacturers, with provider names and local guidance notes shown in the app.

Search in everyday language

Open Resources and try a topic such as “wound care”, “catheter care”, “diabetes” or “blood bottles”. You can also browse categories. Search runs on your device and shows up to three matching topics; opening a resource takes you to the provider’s website.

Check the source and its scope

Some links cover the whole UK; others apply to a particular nation, organisation or product. Provider access restrictions and local guidance notes help you identify those limits. A link review date records a source check, not clinical approval.

Where a procedure depends on your employer, use your organisation’s current approved procedure. CommunityCue does not reproduce clinical manuals, generate treatment advice or decide which action is right for a patient.

Written resources and selected videos

Selected topics include links to provider videos. Videos open externally and are not embedded in CommunityCue. If a topic has no listed video, search for written resources instead. Always check the exact product or device and the provider’s current instructions.

What is available offline?

After the app has loaded online, its bundled catalogue can be searched offline. External pages and videos need an internet connection and are not downloaded by CommunityCue. Installed-app offline reopening still needs checking on your own phone.

CommunityCue is independent and is not an NHS service. Links do not imply endorsement or clinical validation. Follow local policy, training, competency and appropriate escalation procedures.
